Breakdown of a Multi-dimensional Metric on a Table

Slicing multidimensional metrics

When a metric is multidimensional, it can be sliced to different constituting segments that make up the total values. In the table, you can breakdown a metric by its available dimensions by clicking the icon v beside the metric name. A metric can be sliced to many sub-metrics, and a sub-metrics can be sliced to sub-sub-metrics, and so on until it ends up at the lowest level of dimensions, following your data sources. After slicing a metric, the dimension will be displayed at the right of the metric name.

Dicing multidimensional metrics

You can remove metrics and sub-metrics in a data widget by clicking on the three-dot icon at the left of the metric name, then choose Remove from Table. Other metrics and sub-metrics will remain the same after you remove one metric or sub-metric. The total value of the metric will not be effective.

Change and Un-slice multidimensional metrics

After breaking-down a metric by a dimension, you can change to another dimension by clicking on the dimension name and choose from the suggesting list another dimension.

You can undo breaking-down a metrics or a sub-metrics by clicking on the chosen dimension, move to the last row of the suggesting list, choose Remove selection
