The Records Table feature allows you to explore the underlying data behind any visualization on your dashboard. It provides a detailed view of individual records related to the selected data point, enabling deeper analysis and actionable insights. Additionally, you can narrow down the view by selecting specific topics (e.g., customers, invoices) related to that data point.

How to Activate the Records Table

  1. Right-Click on a Chart or Table:

    • Navigate to any chart or table where you want to investigate the underlying data.

    • Right-click on the specific metric, data point, or section of the visualization (e.g., "Revenue of July 2024").

  2. Select the Records:

    • From the context menu, select "Show related records..."

    • Choose a Related Topic:

      • After right-clicking, additional options may appear, allowing you to filter the Records Table by topics related to the selected data point. For example:

        • Customers: View a list of customers whose transactions contributed to the selected metric.

        • Invoices: Display the invoices that constitute the selected amount or figure.

      • Click on the desired topic to tailor the Records Table to the relevant context.

    • This will open the Records Table, displaying all the raw data contributing to that specific metric or visualization.

Additional Actions from your Records Table

  • Granular Data View: See the raw data records contributing to the selected visualization or data point.

  • Sorting and Filtering: Within the Records Table, further refine the data by sorting or applying filters.

  • Contextual Filtering: Use related filters created from your record table to continuously explore your data further. Read More at Filtered Segments

  • Export Options: Export the data in the Records Table for external analysis or reporting.

Notes and Tips

  • The "Show all records" and related topic options are specific to the chart, table, or data point you interact with. To explore a different data point, repeat the process.

  • Ensure you have the necessary permissions to access detailed data in the Records Table.
