Break-down in the Chart
Breaking-down a metric by a dimension
When a metric is multidimensional, it can be broken down to different constituting segments (or, visually speaking, bars or lines) that make up the total values. On the chart, you can breakdown a metric by its available dimensions through a query, or through the +
icon right under the chart name. Continue by selecting Breakdown by
, then find the dimension of choice and the chart shall reflect the new broken down values.


Undo metric breaking-down
You can undo your selection by clicking on the Dimension name and choose Remove selection
.

Use Table View to interact with dimensions when breaking-down
A Table View in a chart with breaking-down dimensions helps to view and control dimension list shown in the chart.

Dimension list: you can tick to show dimensions on the chart.
Average: this is the average value in the time range shown in the chart. In the example, it is the average of 3 months: September, October, November.
Time series: this is the time range shown in the chart.
Sort list: there is a sort icon next to each table column, you can click to sort the dimension value at each column.
