How many times have you asked the following questions:
How many customers churned last month?
How much revenue did our “priority customers” contribute last quarter?
Or even: let’s set a goal to reduce churn rate by 20% next year
Each of these questions is a complex query that your data team has to code and maintain, and they usually are fixed for use with a single metric. It deals with segmenting users, products, etc. by a property that varies over time: “churn” means no purchase last quarter, “priority” means high spending last month, etc.
Experimenting with different segmentation, and allocating your operations effectively to best serve each segment is crucial to success in many companies. Now you can do that on Presight with a simple point-and-click interface:
Detailed instruction for Dynamic Dimension here:
Previously, Presight team had been helping you to create every single metric that comes directly from aggregating your data table. Now you can create such metrics yourself, using our latest aggregation formulas and pass in a raw data column name: =SUM(ColumnName)
. Available aggregation functions are SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, COUNTD
, but we’re adding more soon!
Now you can count your product SKU, customer numbers or summarize your sales amount directly on Presight.
You can set your Planning Version as Default version in your workspace, so that everyone will be looking at the same set of related goals.
You can write dimension descriptions to explain your dimension with others. Dimension description can be added by double-clicking
on the box next to Dimension Name at Data Hub, tab Dimensions.
When working in a Doc, you can quickly browse needed metrics by clicking on the icon at the top right page of the Doc. A Dictionary of all metrics and dimensions will appear for you to search before querying, without leaving your Doc in progress.
