November Updates - Collaboration & Smarter Metrics

Presight's updates for November 2025

📂 Folder Collaboration & Permissions

Folders are no longer just personal groupings. You can now:

  • Organize docs into shared folders

  • Control access at both folder and document level

  • Collaborate in a way that feels similar to Google Drive

This makes it much easier for teams to manage shared reports, dashboards, and analysis documents without permission confusion. Folder Documentation

💪 Stronger Metrics & Semantic Layer

🧮 Multiple time granularities per metric

You can define different logic for each time granularity within the same metric (for example, daily vs monthly definitions). This helps when business rules change with the level of time aggregation.

🟰 Normalized dimensions

When denormalized tables contain separate columns that represent the same business concept (e.g. “campaign” in multiple tables), you can select those repeated dimensions and declare them as one. End users then see a single, clean breakdown instead of several similar options.

📋 A new type of dimension: free-text values

Previously, dimensions had to come from raw columns or formulas. Now you can create a custom dimension and input values manually, perfect for curated business categories or mapping tables that don’t exist in the source data.

🚫 Disable segment

In cases where certain granularity or breakdown isn’t properly defined, you can disable that segment so end users aren’t confused by partial or misleading breakdown options.

⬇️ Breakdown logic improvements

We’ve improved how formulas are evaluated when they reference multiple tables, so breakdowns across tables are handled more intelligently and consistently.

🏄‍♂️ Smoother Analysis & Formula Experience

📅 Date of week function

You can now aggregate with weekday conditions, e.g. `=SUMIF(amount,DOW(report_date)=7,report_date), to focus analyses on specific days (weekends, Mondays, campaign days, etc.).

🧮 Supporting AggregateIF functions (SUMIF, COUNTIF, COUNTDIF, AVGIF)

We’ve added support and autocomplete for IF-style aggregations, making conditional metrics quicker and more intuitive to write.

✅ Data Freshness & Trustworthy Visuals

⏱️ Refresh data in record table

Record tables now include a dedicated refresh data action, so users can actively pull the latest data from the source without leaving the table view. This helps keep what you’re looking at in sync with the underlying data.

💌 Platform & Admin Quality-of-Life

🪿 DuckDB connector support

You can now connect to DuckDB, opening up more options for fast local or embedded analytics workflows.

🤖 AI company context (admin editable)

Admins can maintain a company-level context that teaches the AI how your business works: terminology, products, structure, and nuances. This helps the AI produce answers and explanations that feel more tailored to your organization instead of generic responses.

🔐 Forgot password

Users can reset their own passwords via a standard “forgot password” flow, reducing admin involvement.

⌚ Extended invitation expiration time

Admins can set longer expiration windows for workspace invites, which helps when onboarding involves multiple steps or slower approval cycles.

This release is centered on making collaboration more natural (folders as a real shared layer) and the semantic layer more faithful to your business reality (granularities, normalized dimensions, curated lists). On top of that, we’ve added quality-of-life improvements to smooth out daily use, ranging from AI context and DuckDB to invite handling and chart fixes.

Keep the feedback coming! We’re tuning these features based on how your teams actually work, and there’s more on the way.
